Lahore Lahore Hai

Your gaze scans the city as if they were written pages; the city says everything that you must think, makes you repeat her discourse, and while you believe you are visiting it you are only recording the names with which she defines herself and all her parts.

Lahore has been the city of my residence and study for the past 9 months. The city is special to me. lt has given me lot of love and encouragement. My eyes have been open and my mind alert.
During my residency, I have been recording the city.
My perceptions have taken the form of words, photographs, sounds and drawings, but these are only snippets of the Lahore I want my audience to know and to savour. My memories of this year are affecting me in ways that are complex, multilayered, yet simple. Lahore Lahore Hai!
