Presentation of the book Himalayan Art by Madanjeet Singh to the SAARC library

Dear SAF Colleagues,
The 1968 classic ‘Himalayan Art’ by Ambassador Madanjeet Singh has been re-printed and is sought by museums, universities and art lovers throughout the world and especially in this part of South Asia as the book has wonderful photos of temples, monasteries, artifacts and sculptures of Ladakh, Bhutan, Sikkim and Nepal. I have presented a copy to the SAARC Secretariat (attached acknowledgement letter). ‘The Statesman’ and the ‘Nepali Times’ have already done reviews of this re-printed edition which you must have read. I have attached my review in case some of you have not read it.
On Nov. 22, I will be presenting the book to the Dhumbarahi school’s library which is situated adjoining the Dhumbarahi temple. Its idol’s picture is in the book but the idol itself was stolen a couple of years ago and later found in a nearby river. On Dec. 18 there will be a ceremony on the occasion of Late Nepali freedom fighter Dr. Dilli Raman Regmi’s birth anniversary whose help Ambassador Singh has thanked in the book.
It would be wonderful if more reviews by newspapers can be done in your respective countries of this truly historic book.
