The year 2019 marks the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). However, despite being the most ratified international text in the world today, many children's rights still strive to be respected in France and around the world.

On this occasion, UNESCO and the Defender of Rights in France are organizing a joint event, moderated by Mélissa Theuriau, where children's voices will meet the voices of politicians, associations, experts and other committed actors, at the country and international level, around 4 thematics:

- The right to education
- The right to participation
- The right to be protected against all forms of discrimination
- The right to protection against all forms of violence

Children from the National Consultation conducted by the Defender of Rights in France, "I have rights, hear me", and from the UNESCO Associated Schools Network will pose questions to decision-makers about the realization of their rights and share their proposals for the years to come.
