The Universidad Metropolitana de Ciencias de la Educación (UMCE) is set to hold Under the Rainbow 3, an artistic and cultural event, this October. The event will take place at 4:00 PM in the Salón de Honor of UMCE.
This initiative underscores UMCE’s dedication to fostering inclusivity and promoting diversity. The event will feature acclaimed visual artist and LGBTQ+ activist Pamela Collado Varela and aims to celebrate and uplift LGBTQ+ culture through art and education. Helena Miranda López will act as the General Coordinator of the project.
Under the Rainbow 3 is backed by the Fundación Daniel Zamudio, a prominent organization dedicated to the defense of human rights and combatting discrimination.
The project at UMCE reflects the power of education in advancing tolerance and non-violence, both in Chile and across Latin America. Partnering with the UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Chair for the Promotion of Tolerance and Non-Violence, the event has a broad, global reach.
The event will be held at UMCE's Central Campus, located at Avenida José Pedro Alessandri 774, Ñuñoa, Santiago, Chile.
