Chennai, December 9, 2024 – Mr. Timothy Curtis, Director and Representative for the UNESCO Regional Office for South Asia covering Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, the Maldives and Sri Lanka along with Madame France Marquet, Principal Trustee of the Madanjeet Singh Foundation (MSF) visited the UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Centre of the Asian College of Journalism (UMCSAJ). The visit aimed to strengthen discussions on scholarship programs and assess the centre's achievements and ongoing initiatives.

During their visit, Madame Marquet and Mr. Curtis held a significant meeting with Mr. Shashi Kumar, Director, UMCSAJ; Mr. N. Ram, Trustee, Madanjeet Singh Foundation; Ms. Sudha Umapathy, Registrar, ACJ; and Ms. Malini. The discussions focused on the impact of the South Asia Foundation (SAF) scholarships, the achievements of UMCSAJ alumni, and the network's growing influence in the field of journalism. Additionally, they reviewed details regarding the newly enrolled batch for the academic year 2024-25.
