2009 UNESCO-Madanjeet Singh Prize for the Promotion of Tolerance and Non-Violence award ceremony

The UNESCO-Madanjeet Singh Prize for the Promotion of Tolerance and Non-Violence was awarded to this year’s two laureates - François Houtart, Belgian sociologist and theologian, and Abdul Sattar Edhi, Pakistani philanthropist – at a ceremony at UNESCO’s Paris Headquarters on 16 November - International Day for Tolerance.
