Kubra Khademi is a performance artist originally from Afghanistan was forced to flee the country due to a Fatwa and was moved to France where she now lives. Her life and art practices as an activist and her journey to a new country and now her generosity and work in rehabilitating an entire generation of artists to Europe will be the heart of this extremely interesting, intense conversation. In 2016, she received a scholarship to the Pantheon-Sorbonne University and Audrey Azoulay, Minister of Culture, raised her to the rank of “Chevalier des arts et des lettres”. This is a great opportunity to listen to a first hand experience of an artist who has experienced the effects of war international politics and has been able to bring it into her work.
