SUSTAINABLE URBAN DEVELOPMENT MAYORS FELLOWSHIP 2019-2020
CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) - in cooperation with the United Nations University, Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS); the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU), and the United Cities and Local Governments Asia-Pacific (UCLG ASPAC) - invite newly elected or appointed city mayors/governors in the Asia-Pacific region to join the Mayors' Academy for Sustainable Urban Development. The objective of this fellowship is to create and support a network of local leaders in Asia-Pacific committed to sustainable urban development through week-long intensive "boot camps" held on an annual basis coupled with ongoing peer-learning.
Deadline for applications is 23 August 2019.
The Academy Fellowship is designed for newly-elected or appointed mayors/governors in the Asia-Pacific region.
