The award ceremony took place from 12 pm to 1 pm in Room II in the presence of the Director-General of UNESCO, Mme Irina Bokova and His Excellency Dr. Majed Bin Ali Al-Noaimi, Minister of Education of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The ceremony preceded by the Laureates' Seminar about the use of ICTs in Education for disadvantaged groups, which gave the floor to the two 2016 Prize winners.
