UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Prize for the promotion of Tolerance and non Violence

Ms Golda El Khoury, Chief - Section for Inclusion and Rights,Sector for Social and Human Sciences (In charge of the prize at UNESCO), Mr Marek Halter Marek Halter was born in Poland is a French-Jewish writer and activist, known best for his historical novels, which have been translated into English, Polish, Hebrew, and many other languages, member of the Jury; Dr Kamal Hossain, is a Bangladeshi Jurist, Statesman, Politician and Freedom Fighter. After the independence of Bangladesh, he served as Minister of Law from 1972 to 1973 and as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1973 to 1975, (Member of the Jury); Behind him stands Ms Hameeda Hossain, is a prominent Bangladeshi Human rights activist and academic. She has published many books and articles relating to human rights and women’s issues in Bangladesh, in Islam, and worldwide;
In the centre stands Ms Linda Tinio Assistant to Ms Golda El Khoury In Charge of the Prize, and Mme France Marquet,
Trustee MSF SAF representing the donor .

The Prize of USD100000.00 will be awarded by Ms Irina Bolova Director General of UNESCO, on 16th November 2016 World Day of Tolerance, at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris
