Online Applications are invited from the eligible candidates from SAARC countries, for admission to 2 years Masters Programme in Kashmir and South Asian Studies at UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Institute of Kashmir Studies..

I.      Eligibility:           Bachelors degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern with at least 45 percent marks from a recognized University.

II      Important dates:

        Submission of Online Forms                    :             From November 28,  2013

        Last date of receipt of hard copy             :               February 28, 2014

III.    Submission of Online Application / Hard copy of Application Form:

        Step 1:    Visit University website at www.kashmiruniversity.net or www.kashmiruniversity.ac.in and Click on Admission 2014.

        Step 2:    Fill Admission Form Online.

        Step 3:    Preview the Form displayed on the screen. If details are correct, Click on Submit. If there is any variation go to Edit, make
                         corrections and then Submit. Get a printout of the Form and note the ID for future reference.

        Step 4:    Deposit a Entrance Test/Processing Fee of Rs. 500/- or its equivalent in Foreign currency in Account No.
                        0007010100000001 at Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd., Hazratbal Branch, Srinagar, IFSC Code: JAKA0NASEEM

        Step 5:    Submit a Hard copy of the Online Application Form through post addressed to the Director, UNESCO Madanjeet Institute of 
                         Kashmir Studies Singh, University of Kashmir, Srinagar-190006, J&K, India, alongwith the photocopies of the following:

  • Marks certificates of the examinations passed
  • copy of Passport
  • a receipt/details of Net banking,
  • a brief write-up mentioning the reasons for applying for the programme and how it is going to be useful for the applicant.

IV.   Additional Information:

a)             Admission to the course shall be governed by the relevant Statutes to the course;

b)             Candidates are advised to check for the confirmation of email receipt of Form;

c)             Candidates are advised to respond to the email communication asking for any clarification sought/document wanted,
                immediately, otherwise his/her candidature shall stand forfeited;

d)             Candidates are advised to regularly visit University website for necessary information/instructions regarding the admission;
