Prof Veena Sikri, Vice Chairperson, SAF-India, Addressing the audience about the major SAF activities and coming on Stream of two more UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Institutions of Excellence in Nepal and Bhutan.

Shri Suresh Goel, Director General , ICCR told about ICCR projects, programmes and about an exhibition of painting by SAARC artists, done at ICCR –hosted artists, camps over the last years.
Ambassador Vijay Nabiar, UN secretary Generals Special Envoy for Myanmar,
welcomed SAF initiative to include Myanmar within the ambit of its activities.
Prof Yashpal, Scientist and Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University , addressing the audience about the need for dynamism in the exchanges among the people of South Asia, exampling SAF institutions of Excellence and activities.
SAF Delegates interacting to each other
An annual reception to commemorate SAARC Charter Day and United Nations Human Rights Day (10 December) was held in SAF India headquarters.
About 60 guests representing the diplomatic community (primarily the Embassies and High Commissions of the SAARC nations), academia, senior civil servants, media representatives and civil society activists.
The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Delhi, Prasad Karivasam, the most senior diplomat present on the occasion, was invited by Veena Sikri, Vice Chairman SAF India Chapter to address the audience. He spoke about emphasizing that each SAARC nation needed the others to grow and develop in tandem with each other’s support and cooperation the example of the UNESCO Madanjeet Institutions of Excellence that can generate positives feelings of friendship across the region
