UMCDSRC, National College to Host Special Talk on the 101st Birth Anniversary of UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Madanjeet Singh

Kathmandu, April 15 – A commemorative talk programme will be organized at the UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Centre of Development Studies and Regional Cooperation (UMCDSRC), National College, Kathmandu, Nepal, to mark the 101st birth anniversary of UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Late Madanjeet Singh. The event will be convened by Dr. Nishchal N. Pandey, Chairman of SAF-Nepal, and will bring together students, faculty members, and distinguished guests.

The programme will feature a keynote address by Prof. Dr. Basu Dev Kafle, Chair of the Education Committee, Nepal National Commission for UNESCO, who will speak on the theme of “Regional Cooperation and Education.” The presence of a representative from the National Committee on UNESCO will make the occasion especially meaningful, reflecting the late Ambassador’s enduring legacy of promoting peace and regional cooperation.

The event will also include addresses by college leadership and faculty, followed by an engaging Q&A session. A presentation on subjects relevant to regional cooperation will be delivered by Asst. Prof. Indresh Sharma. The programme will conclude with a vote of thanks by Mr. Madhav P. Neupane, Principal of National College, and a lunch hosted for students.
