TITLE : HEALING EARTH

DESCRIPTION
My idea behind this painting is to show how the pandemic is spiraling out of control, spreading like wildfire, burning countries into ashes. Ashes of tears and destruction. The world as shown in the painting, is covered with irregular texture, uneven and blotchy in some parts. This signifies the unpleasant effects of chaos created by the pandemic. The bloodshot eye represents the sorrow faced by the people all around the world. There is fear growing in their hearts as more and more lives are lost each day and the impact it is having on the general economy of the world.
Despite all the adversities and grief, people still live each day, optimistic that everything will be alright once again. Hoping that normalcy will return soon. This is signified by the flowers blooming in each place, which brings promises for growth and healing. If you look closely at the painting, you can trace the etched lines along the canvas, these lines spell out hope. This shows the fortitude of mother earth to recover from the damage and be whole once again along with the people in it. It portrays that people should preserve even if hope seems faint at the moment and look deeper to see the hope beneath every turmoil.
