"Non-violence is not a garment to be put on and off at will. Its seat is in the heart, and it must be an inseparable part of our being" - Mahatma Gandhi
Tolerance recognizes the universal human rights and fundamental freedoms of others. People are naturally diverse, only tolerance can ensure the survival of mixed communities in every region of the globe.

This UNESCO Master Class on tolerance will tackle several of the global issues that hinder the development of a culture of peace, non-violence and tolerance. It will also be the opportunity to showcase and discuss the numerous achievements of former laureates of the UNESCO-Madanjeet Singh Prize for the Promotion of Tolerance and Non-Violence.
