350 Rover scouts, leaders to join 6th SAF Scout Camp

A total of 350 Rover scouts and leaders from eight Saarc countries are going to participate in the 6th SAF Scout Friendship Camp, organisers said at a press conference yesterday.

Md Abdul Kalam Azad, chief national commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts, adressed the press conference at the National Headquarters of Bangladesh Scouts at Kakrail in the city, says a press release.

Md Mozammel Haque Khan, chairman of the SAF Scout Friendship Camp Organising Committee, was also present.

The chief commissioner of the National Scout Organisations in the Saarc countries and the officials of the World Scout Bureau/Asia-Pacific Region will visit the camp.

Chief Adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed will be present at the inaugural ceremony on October 12 as the chief guest while the President and Chief Scout Iajuddin Ahmed will be present at the Youth Parliament on October 16 as the chief guest.

The national commissioners, deputy national commissioners and the executive secretary of Bangladesh Scouts were present at the conference.
