SAF Bhutan Chapter newly registered, on 28th February 2018 as Jamchong Thuendrel Foundation(BJTF)
SAF Bhutan is pleased to report here that after almost two years of going back and forth with the Civil Society Organisation Authority (CSOA) of Bhutan, we have made a presentation to the CSOA Board on 6th December 2017 under a local name “Bhutan Jamchong Thuendel Foundation” (BJTF); which means “Bhutan Foundation of Compassion and Goodwill”. The COSA Board directed to submit the following documents for final registration:
The Bhutan Ecological Society (BES) successfully hosted its Third Annual Research Symposium & Environmental Fair on 27-29 August in Thimphu, Bhutan. The 3-day education and outreach programe drew large crowds and great public interest, thanks to the support and active participation of Thimphu schools and 21 organizations including universities, government agencies, green businesses and CSOs.
The SAF Madanjeet Singh Group scholarship will cover: Tuition fees,Economy air travel,Monthly stipend of Nu. 12000.00 based on existing SAARC scholarship rate to cover logistics and personal expenses; Establishment allowance of Nu. 16,000.00. Last Date 15th June, 2015.....
On 16th April, 2015 the UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Centre for South Asia Forestry Studies (UMCSAFS) was inaugurated in Bumthang by Her Royal Highness, Princess Chimi Yangzom Wangchuck in the presence of the Honourable Agriculture Minister, Lyonpo Yeshey Dorji, Madame France Marquet, Principal Trustee-MSF and the Chairman of the SAF-Bhutan Chapter, Lyonpo Sangay Ngedup. The solemn occasion was marked by prayers, was also attended by Mr. Navin Chawla, Advisor-MSF and former Chief Election Commissioner of India
