Mme. France Marquet representative of SAF to UNESCO met Mr Eric Falt Director & UNESCO Representative Mr Eric Falt, Director and UNESCO Representative to Bhutan, India, Maldives and Sri Lanka during 14th Round Table Meeting in Thimphu, Bhutan.

After the meeting, she took the opportunity to brief Mr. Falt about the impactful work being carried out at the UNESCO Madanjeet Center for South Asia Forestry Studies (UMCSAFS). Located at the College of Natural Resources (CNR) under the Royal University of Bhutan in Lobesa, Punakha, the center stands as a beacon of regional integration and collaboration.  The meeting reaffirmed the shared dedication of SAF and UNESCO to strengthening regional partnerships and promoting initiatives that benefit the environment and future generations. They expressed optimism about expanding collaborative efforts to further the center’s mission and enhance its impact in addressing critical environmental challenges.
