UWICER is hosting pre-conference of the 10th World Dendro Conference Field week

Continuing the tradition begun in 2000, Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environmental Research is hosting pre-conference of the 10th World Dendro Conference Field Week from 3rd to 9th June, leading up to the conference, which is scheduled from 10th to 15th June to be held in the conference hall of the Royal University of Bhutan.  

Madanjeet Singh Group Scholarship recipient students of the UNESCO Madanjeet Center for South Asia Forestry Studies, Mr. Sunil Sapkota from Nepal and Mr. Laikitkupar Lyngdoh from India are attending the Dendro Conference field week at Lamai Geompa, Bumthang. They shall both be attending the main conference from 10-15 June 2018 at Thimphu, Bhutan.

About 50 international and national participants are participating in this fieldweek with 10 instructors. The participants will be taught basic introductory Dendro to advance tutorial on software application in Tree-ring research. The conference will 'see the participation of by more than 200 participants from 36 countries.
