This particular training was made possible with the help of number of important people and institutions/organizations both within and outside of the country. Without the huge support of those people and organizations, the proposed training would not have been realized.

For this, I would profusely thank Dr. David Stahle, the distinguish professor at the tree ring laboratory in the University of Arkansas, USA for constantly working for almost a year to admit me to the tree ring laboratory. My sincere and profound gratitude to His Excellency Madanjeet Singh, the UNESCO goodwill ambassador and founder of South Asia Foundation for generously providing the training fund without which the training would not have been possible.  His Excellency Lyonpo Sangay Ngedup, the Honourable Chairman, Mr. Chencho Tshering, Vice Chaiman and Aum Nim Dem, General Secretary of South Asia Foundation-Bhutan Chapter for granting the training fund as proposed and releasing the fund well on time.

I would also take this opportunity to thank the honourable Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Forests, the Director, Department of Forests and Park Services and the Director, Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment for according necessary government approval for the training. The officials at Bhutanese Embassy in Delhi and dealing officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for obtaining US visa that has enabled me to travel to US and attend the training.

Finally, I extensively thank all those people who have worked at various capacities to make this training successful directly or indirectly both at UWICE and HRD section of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests.
