In a heartwarming celebration, the University Madanjeet Singh Centre for Development Studies and Research (UMCDSRC) at Kathmandu University marked the 100th birth anniversary of UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador and SAF Founder Madanjeet Singh. The event featured an engaging interactive session led by Dr. Januka Nepal, a distinguished member of the UNESCO Education Committee. Dr. Nepal's enlightening discourse focused on the pivotal role of education in nurturing tolerance and non-violence among individuals.

Dr. Nishchal N. Pandey, Chairperson of SAF-Nepal, fondly reminisced about Ambassador Madanjeet Singh's remarkable efforts in fostering regional cooperation across South Asia. He emphasized Ambassador Singh's enduring legacy, which lives on through the transformative SAF scholarships. These scholarships, spanning diverse fields including development studies, journalism, fine arts, engineering, law, and forestry studies, continue to empower aspiring scholars and professionals.

Mr. Chhatra Karki, Programme Coordinator at the National College, underscored Nepal's invaluable benefits from the influx of South Asian students pursuing studies through the SAF Scholarships. The event witnessed a significant turnout, with a multitude of students, including SAF scholars, coming together to honor Ambassador Madanjeet Singh's inspiring legacy and celebrate his profound impact on education and regional cooperation.
